Our dispatch operations out of our Geelong warehouse remain as normal. All orders received before 1pm AEST time on a weekday will continue to be sent out on the same day. We have seen an increase in demand and are well equipped to fulfil your order. There are still no restrictions on freight moving across state and territory borders via air or road.

Australia Post, Couriers Please and Fastway are experiencing delays with deliveries due to reduced staffing in depots and an increase in freight moving through the depots.  

We will not be able to refund the cost of Express Delivery if there are delays. Some Express Deliveries will arrive on the next business day, however most will take two or three days longer. Please keep this in mind when placing your order. 

Our delivery partners Australia Post, Fastway & Couriers Please are taking measures to protect their staff and customers and have made adjustments to the way they carry out deliveries. A signature will no longer be required for a delivery or post office collection, instead the delivery driver will ask for the customer's name and sign on their behalf. If no one is home to accept the delivery, and authority to leave has been given, the parcel will be left in a safe place at the premises. 

We have implemented additional safety and hygiene measures for our production and despatch team, including regular and thorough cleaning of hands with an alcohol-based hand rub, and regular antibacterial cleaning of high-touch surfaces.

When will my order be dispatched?

Orders placed by 1pm AEST on a weekday will be despatched from our warehouse on the same day.  If we are still awaiting deliveries of stock due to COVID-19 delays we may need to substitute product.  If this occurs the product will be of the same value or greater.

Can I track my delivery?

When your order is despatched, you will receive a despatch notification email with courier tracking information that will allow you to track the progress of the delivery.

Do you offer Same Day Delivery?

We offer same day delivery in Geeong.

Standard Delivery – $10 Australia Wide.

All Standard Delivery orders are sent with Australia Post, Couriers Please or Fastway depending on location across the Country.

Deliveries are made during business hours Monday to Friday (excluding public holidays).

Deliveries to some regional locations made be made to the closest post office.

Express Delivery

Express Delivery costs between $25 per hamper.

Special Delivery Instructions

Please state in the Delivery Instructions on the check out page if the household at the address is in isolation due to COVID-19.
The special delivery instructions field on the checkout page is for specific instructions for the courier that are printed on the label (eg. deliver to the second floor and leave with reception, leave behind the pot plant near the front door).
Requests for delivery at a specific time of day will be printed on the label for the courier to see however cannot be guaranteed.
Our couriers are unable to call or text recipients prior to delivery, to confirm an address, or upon an unsuccessful delivery.

Authority to Leave

The option is given at checkout as to whether or not the parcel can to be left if no one is available to receive it.
If authority to leave is given and no one is available to receive the delivery, our courier will leave the parcel in a relatively secure location unattended at the address.
If the parcel cannot be left at the address, our courier will do one of the following:
Leave a card advising the recipient that the parcel has been taken to the nearest post office for pickup (AUSTRALIA POST and STAR TRACK)
Call the recipient for an alternative delivery address or time (STAR TRACK COURIER - redelivery fees will apply)
Some unsuccessful deliveries may come straight back to us for processing - we may not know about the unsuccessful delivery until it arrives back to us, and we therefore encourage our customers to keep an eye on the tracking of the delivery.
In order to ensure that someone will be present during business hours, and to avoid redelivery fees, it is highly recommended to send the parcel to a business address.
Please note that redelivery fees may apply for any deliveries that need to be reattempted.
Please note that when authority to leave has been given, The Food Purveyor and our couriers cannot accept responsibility or liability on the rare occasion that a consignment is lost or stolen after our couriers have recorded the package as 'successfully delivered'.

Hospital Deliveries

Most hospitals have specific guidelines regarding delivery of gifts to patients – it is advisable to contact the specific hospital in advance to find out how their deliveries are received.

Please provide as much detail as possible about the recipient – bed/room number, ward name/number, full name and street address of hospital – and ensure that the name on the delivery address matches the name under which the patient is registered at the hospital.

Please note that if a parcel needs to be sent to an alternative address due to the patient already being discharged, an applicable redelivery fee will be passed on to the sender.

International Deliveries

We deliver to any address in Australia.
For international deliveries, we advise finding a suitable gift and hamper provider in the destination country, as choosing a local provider will be significantly cheaper. Delays due to customs restrictions in many countries will also significantly compromise the quality of the gift and hamper contents.
